Humanitarian Disaster Preparedness and Response

The Humanitarian Disaster Preparedness and Response program provides disaster response activities affecting communities primarily in Cebu and the rest of the country. The response approach involves relief operations, rehabilitation efforts, trainings for partner local government units and funding partner organizations. RAFI utilizes different types of facilities and equipment during its relief operations. These include communication equipment, a command center, packaging area, storage area, vehicles for assessment and monitoring.

2021 Accomplishments 

  • 1,130 relief packs for Cebu barangays under lockdown. 
  • For Phase 1 COVID-19 Humanitarian Aid Program: Meals for 449 healthcare workers in 13 hospitals  
  • For Phase 2 COVID-19 Humanitarian Aid Program: Meals for 449 healthcare workers in partnership with BPI Foundation, which provided Php 8M 
  • Free ambulance service to 450 COVID-19 patients 
  • 7,960 blood bags from donors from blood donation drive with DOH Sub-National Blood Center for Visayas 
  • Provided home medical support service (oxygen tank) to 40 Cebu residents 
  • Phase 1 COVID-19 Humanitarian Aid Program: 200 half face respirators, 600 full PPE suit for healthcare workers 
  • Phase 2 COVID-19 Humanitarian Aid Program: 449 half face respirators, 9,429 full PPE suit for healthcare workers in partnership with BPI Foundation, which provided P8M 
  • Provided Support for the NOAH Mega Vaccination Center 
  • Developed Information Education Campaign (IEC) for COVID-19 vaccines  
  • Distributed relief packs to 508 families affected by flooding in Negros Occidental 
  • Distributed relief packs to 130 families affected by fire in Barangay Sambag 2 
  • Distributed relief packs to 184 families affected by fire in Barangay Labangon 
  • Distributed relief packs to 124 families affected by Typhoon Kiko in Barangay Kayvauganan, Batanes 
  • Distributed relief packs to 531 families affected by fire in Barangay Mambaling

Areas of Operation: Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and the rest of the Philippines as needed/activated
